Black mirror cult

Black Mirror cult classic in the making

Black Mirror is an English mini-series created by Charlie Brooker that became an instant cult series when it first started in 2011. Its third season debuted on Netflix this October, three years after the last season. Each episode is self-contained and has new characters that you won’t see again, so there is no particular order to watch them. Every episode is about an hour long and shows a different dystopian world that yet doesn’t seem so far from our modern reality. Black Mirror is making the audience feel nervous by using themes that are topical and show the darkest aspects of the current world. It touches on addiction to social media and virtual reality, the growing influence of technology on our lives and the fascination for celebrities and political figures. The black mirror cult is justified not only by its innovative format and themes but also because it’s brilliant storytelling. There might not be much action in some episodes, and rarely has any well-known actors, but the characters keep you interested, and their struggles resonate with you, though they often live in a very dark world. The black mirror cult is not about being flashy, but about showing a terrifying and fascinating world to the viewer.

Best Movies Based on Witches

Movies based on witches - Paranormal meets reality

Who doesn’t love movies based on witches? If you are a girl you have not been involved in a sleepover that didn’t try and reenact the ‘Light as a feather, Stiff as a board’ scene from ‘The Craft’. Movies based on witches give the viewer an insight into the paranormal that is just far enough away from their reality to be scary but close enough to make it terrifying! the witch 2016, is the latest in a long line of hauntingly real stories about witchcraft, possession, and black magic. The movie follows the lives of a family of 7 as they move out to the wilderness of New England around 1630. One by one each of the children experience and are touched by witchcraft. Invariably the blame is placed on the teenage daughter, named Thomasin, who denies having anything to do with the situation. The film is receiving worldwide acclaim for its harrowing story and exceptional directing and is sure to go down in history as one of the best witch related movies of all time. Joining legendary movies such as The Craft, The Blair Witch Project, The Crucible, and The Skeleton Key. Game of Thrones Season 6

Game of Thrones Season 6:Jon Snow

Game of Thrones Season 6 is already half over with the 5th episode “The Red Door” airing on 23rd May 2016. The popular Game of Thrones fan theory of Jon Snow being resurrected has been proven true. The resurrection was much earlier than expected and in the second episode of Game of Thrones Season 6. Sir Davos “The Onion Knight” played an important role in the first few episodes.

So, folks, Jon Snow is back and the excitement of what will happen next is alive! In the premier episode, one very shocking thing happened. It was the loss of confidence in Melisandre and subsequently she showed her former self. In the third episode, Daenerys gotten back to playing the “Unburnt” and the whole Dothraki clan bowed to her.

Bran Stark is becoming more and more proficient in going into the past and seeing things. He sees the making of White Walkers by the children of the forest in the fifth episode, and subsequently, the King of the White Walkers attacks them. He also learns the secret of “Hodor” which is actually “Hold the Door”. As per the directors, this season is going to be a defining one with only two seasons yet to come up. Just 10 episodes make it even more enticing and gripping.

Latest movies – The 3 which got me hooked

Latest movies - Star Wars The Force Reawakens

The latest movies do not always thrill me, however there were some recently which were really good. They were all from the old school with much more emphasis on story and screenplays. These are my top 3 favourites list from latest movies.

(1) Star Wars : The Force Awakens – I have been a Star Wars fan right from the time first film was released. I was sceptical as the new Star Wars films did not grab me as the old ones did; but this one was like old wine in new bottle.

(2) The Revenant – I really love this film just because of the expressions. There is so much in the story and the scene in which Leonardo Dicaprio is mauled by a grizzly bear is so real. For once I am rooting for Leo to win this time during Oscars.

3) Mr. Holmes – This film has a unique plot of an ageing Sherlock Holmes, struggling with dementia, Holmes still solves cases though! An amazing film which most might have missed. I watched it just for Ian McKellen my favourite actor. If you do not know who this actor is just think of Gandalf! There were other films like Jurassic World, The Martian and Ant Man which were also not to bad but for me these three were the best.
